Fort Travis Seashore Park

We took Aunt Casey on the free dolphin-watching tour, aka, the Galveston-Bolivar ferry ride and decided to explore a little bit of the peninsula.  Just a mile or two up the road, we discovered the Fort Travis Seashore Park which was a fun little gem! The fort was full of historical markers which was interesting for all of us, and the girls loved the playground and looking over the seawall to spy big hermit crabs on the boulders down below.

After the park, we were famished, so we grabbed lunch at Coconut's Restaurant and Pub... delicious! Definitely worth a stop if you happen to be in Crystal Beach!
