The girls will try to climb just about anything. I was putting diapers away in their dresser drawer when the girls both climbed up into the glider in their room. They were so proud that I decided to take a few pictures before coaxing them back onto the ground. They seem fairly skilled and balanced with their climbing, but it still strikes fear into the pit of my stomach...
Dad had the day off of work on Friday.. Hurray! Izzy told him that she wanted to wear her swimsuit cover up over her jammies, and he complied. She was pretty proud of herself. She had a short nap, so she got a little one-on-one time with Dad, but she kept trying to tell him something that he couldn't quite understand. Finally, she let him know that she needed to go get Abby and ran to her sister's crib to wake her up.
We had a great 4th of July barbeque with some friends from our church Life Group. The girls posed nicely for a holiday picture with Landon and Isaiah. Dan used Rica as our smile-getter, holding her alternately over the heads of the parent-photographers. Lots of giggles ensued :)
The girls woke up full of energy from their after-church nap today, so we let them burn off a little in the Jump-o-lene. Unfortunately, Izzy demonstrated a bad case of selfish and mean while we were trying to get a video of the jumping...
After jumping, we had a little reading time...
...and then it was off to the YMCA. The girls are VERY good about sitting on their towels for snacks during the hourly 10-minute saftey breaks. I am VERY grateful, because corralling both of them away from the water against their will is NOT a task I'd like to tackle.
We've had a great holiday weekend and are sad that Dad has to go back to work tomorrow :(

1Gee Nicci, I can't possibly imagine where they get this climbing urge from! Having a flashback of you climbing out onto the frame of your dorm loft, much to everyone's horror :)
Loving the pics as always!
