Oberts Visit

Another batch of Oberts joined us for a fun few days! The girls were super excited to be reacquainted with Uncle Ryan who always elicits a coy little smile from Abby.  He is great with the girls and we know that will translate into being a great dad to Ellie, who is arriving in December! It was so good to get to spend some more time with Valary (Ellie's mom), who managed the Texas heat marvelously well! 

We took the family to the Astro's game, which was so much fun.  Abby and Izzy were more interested in eating popcorn than they were in the game, but they picked up on cues to clap and yell Go 'Stros at appropriate times.

The girls (and their mom) have been dying to go on a Harbor Tour to see the dolphins again, so we donned our sunglasses and headed to Pier 21.  We saw several dolphins and had a great time!

Afterward, we met up with the Oberts for a delicious Mexican lunch at The Original, which is arguably Galveston's best Mexican restaurant.  Afterward, the girls posed with their uncles for their yearly portrait...giggles seem to have replaced the tears.

We couldn't let Papa leave without reading one more story...
