I was pretty petrified about the girls jumping and swimming and checked and re-checked the security of their life jackets about 100 times. The girls, on the other hand, were fearless. They watched their dad do a cannonball and were then unstoppable. Dan, GPa, and I wore out well before they did, just guiding them back and forth from the water to the ladder.
After one of our swimming stops, we attempted to take a quick cruise around the lake to look at a lighthouse but alas, the anchor was stuck. After much maneuvering and some strenuous pulling, GPa and Dan reined victorious over the tree that held us captive. (Lake Conroe is a man-made lake that was dammed in 1972, so there is, apparently, a drowned forest under the surface.)
