Hurray for Dad and Independence

Congratulations to Dan, who passed his LAST actuarial exam!!! Hurray!!! He still has a few projects to finish before he's officially a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries, but we are SO proud of all that he's accomplished in the past three years.

The girls seem to be growing up by leaps and bounds these days. They saw me putting milk on my cereal yesterday, and that's the only way Abby will take it now. Izzy's not too sure about it.

They don't like to sit in their booster seats any more, and Izzy insists on buckling the top part of her 5-point harness in her carseat all by herself. It's fun and frustrating, depending on the moment, to watch their independence unfurl.

We're officially starting potty training next week using the 3 Day Potty Training method. We'll let you know how that goes... hoping for immediate and total success!!!

The girls are still loving our park and their Dad is loving and encouraging their adventurousness on the various climbing apparati. This is Izzy's second time up this ladder and Abby's first...

Our library holds fun family activities on Thursday evenings in the summer. Last night, they had a clown come in, so we decided to do a dry run to see if we might be ready for the circus this year (it's in town for the next week). The girls were definitely wary at first, but their trepidation turned into (reserved) giggles for the clown's antics. So we MIGHT be ready. The girls got to play in the Lily Tomlin-esque rocking chair in the kids' section before we went in to the show.
