This is our third year to visit Dewberry Farm, so I think it's officially become an Obert Family Tradition. Despite the VERY WARM temperatures (90+degrees) we had a great day!
The girls were VERY excited to don their pumpkin shirts and cowgirl boots.
The animals at the farm are always a big hit. The girls really liked the miniature horses this year. Mom tried to get the girls on board with Operation Obert Family Yard Chickens by talking about how very cute the little chicks were. There's still quite a bit of confusion about why some eggs have chicks and why others are eggs that we eat.
The girls were brave enough to on some of the activities by themselves... the slides and the jumping pillows were pretty fun.
Tractor girls
Pony rides are always the highlight of any trip to a farm or rodeo. Izzy's horse got a little skittish, so we pulled her off midway through the ride, but she was incredibly brave and hopped right back on after he calmed back down. We'll have to start looking into horseback riding school, I think!
GPa stayed an extra week so that he could work on a kitchen remodeling project, but was happy to take a break for Pumpkin Day.
The girls found their own pumpkins; Izzy's was an all-around perfect pumpkin while Abby's was a more interesting choice, but both were VERY pleased.
