We took our yearly journey up to the Bass Pro Shop for Christmas pictures. I know it sounds crazy, but their Santa is fantastic, there are never any lines, and it is an experience unto itself! The girls were very brave, and though Izzy has been telling us (over and over) that she wants a playhouse for her baby and a truck for her baby, she told Santa that she wanted a beer for Christmas. We are very proud...
Just kidding, sort of.
She was trying to tell Santa that she wanted a BEAR... but for some reason, her long A's sound like long E's... thus the confusion. Santa caught on quickly, but it gave him a giggle.
After our visit with Santa, we meandered around the store. Abby was pretty excited by the big grizzly bear, but Izzy preferred to wave to him from behind the railing on the nearby footbridge. I suppose that's a pretty healthy fear. She was THRILLED when she found the 4-wheeler department and flung her little sparkle shoe over the saddle and got ready to ride.
We rounded out our festive day by finding a perfect Christmas tree. We had a great time listening to Christmas carols and digging out our decorations. The girls were excited to find their touchable nativity and to get to help put the ornaments on the tree this year.
Here's Abby, holding the tree's "hand" on the way home from the garden center :)
