In the midst of a plague of pinkeye this week, we had a lot of laughs about Abby's purported interpretation of the disease.
Mom (upon discovering Abby waking up with a goop-glued-shut eye): Oh no! It looks like you have pinkeye now, too!
Abby: No I don't!
Mom: Yes, baby, that's why your eye is so goopy.
Abby: No, a lizard put it in there.
Mom: Oh really?
Abby: Yes. Larry [her special stuffed animal lizard] was mad because I slept with my new beluga, so he crawled up and put it in my eye.
Can't really argue with that!
