We had a lot of fun at the Go Fish! event at the Galveston Island State Park last year, so we put it on the calendar again this year, this time meeting my childhood BFF who was visiting the Island from Austin there. All of the kids had a great time,and Wendy and I were excited to catch up!
The girls are old enough now to pay attention at the different station and try to learn more about tying knots, identifying fish, and casting.
Casting for big rubber fish was their favorite station!
Last year, Abby caught a real fish when they set us free on the bay, but this year the fish weren't biting. The juvenile blue crabs were pretty excited about the shrimp bait, though, and watching them was just about as exciting as catching a fish!
