Since we've lived on the Island, we've only made it to Moody Gardens once or twice, but this lazy Sunday gave us the opportunity we've been waiting for and we made a day of it. The girls had a great time at the Aquarium, of course, but the Rainforest was just amazing!
We got to see this monitor lizard eat a mouse right before this picture. Komodo dragons are Abby's favorite monitor lizards, but this one pulled in at a close second after that display! We also got to see the sloth climbing around, which is a pretty rare sight! And the ocelot was out pacing his cage as well... we usually take our Moody trips in the morning, and this was a late afternoon visit, so we may have to adjust our timing to see whether we can be here at feeding time again! Just awesome!
