The Galveston Farmers Market had sweet corn today! I'm an Illinois girl, so by birthright, I love me some sweet corn, though I'm not used to getting any until mid-to-late July, right around the time of the Grundy County Corn Festival. I tried to explain the idea of a corn festival using the closest frame of reference for them... a Fair and Rodeo, except for corn? They thought that was pretty hilarious. They also wanted to know if I was ever the CornFest Queen (I was not.). The corn was delicious... happy Sunday evening!
