We started out the evening with a little reading. The girls LOVE books, although at this point,they'd just as soon eat the books as read them. They are, however, getting more adept at turning pages and babbling when they open the books, which is a lot of fun for their bibliophile parents.
The books fall by the wayside whenever the cats enter the room. Rica is our sweet, sweet Sphynx, and she wants attention so badly that she's willing to take it from the girls, who haven't yet learned how to "be nice" to the kitty. We always watch them closely, to keep the girls from pulling (or eating) her tail, and when she gets too annoyed, Rica runs away, but she's very patient with them. She brings them so much instant and sustained joy! We like to think that our little Texas girls are using Rica as practice for the Mutton Bustin' Rodeo championship.
Izzy heard that Abby was getting some attention for her new teeth, and wanted everyone to see how big hers are getting :)
