We had a fun day today at the Challenger 7 Memorial Park! They have a nice little nature trail, so we took the girls for a walk in the afternoon. They've been fighting colds and are pretty drippy, but they seem to feel pretty good overall and we were all tired of being cooped up in the house. We ended up having a great day!
It is, of course, still pretty hot here in the Houston area, so our nature walk was cut short when our thermo-gauge, Abby's cheeks, indicated that we were in the hot zone :)
After an abbreviated afternoon nap, the girls decided to spend a little more time outside. They are loving climbing up and sliding down on the playset and will do so over and over and over, demanding applause at the end of each successful slide. Very fun. When they break from the climbing, they often head over to the Little Tikes car... and fight and push because they can't both fit inside any more! I tried to help alleviate the sibling rivalry by pushing them in the car, and having the non-driving sister help me push.... Abby's interpretation of that invitation was pretty hilarious...
...and differed quite a bit from the last time she offered to give Izzya ride.
