Labor Day Weekend 2010

I'm sure that it will come as no surprise that we spent most of our Labor Day weekend at the beach this year!

On Saturday evening, we got to meet my cousin Annie's son Logan for the first time! The girls were VERY excited to see the baby and it was great to catch up with Anne and Andy, who live in the Dallas area.

On Sunday evening, we went to the "Meet the Texans" event at the Kemah Boardwalk. It was a little crowded and crazy, but the girls enjoyed watching the Texan cheerleaders dance and it was kind of fun to be in the crazy bustle of it all.


The "dirty side" of Tropical Storm Hermine drove us inside on Monday, which we spent grilling inside with some of our favorite people. Izzy was thrilled that Baby Marissa was here and took advantage of every opportunity to snuggle her. :)

All in all, it was a great and relaxing weekend. We're getting back into the groove today... story time at the library resumed for the fall semester, we're learning two new words of the week, and hopefully will get a little laundry done before the day is out :)
