Zoo Day!

We had a great field-trip day today at the zoo! Sybil's sister and mom are in town, so we loaded up all of the kids and had an amazing day! The weather was PERFECT and we tried out our new wagon in lieu of a stroller... it worked perfectly.

The meerkats had babies recently, which was pretty exciting :)

The cheetah was pretty lazy but picked his head up to peek at the kiddos...

The girls and Nate were more interested in reading up on facts about the Okapi than in checking out the animals themselves.

All of the kids were wow-ed by the VERY long horns on these cattle.

The highlight of the zoo for the girls is almost always the benches... crazy ladies :)

After we saw the lion, Izzy couldn't stop ROARing.

And the grizzly bear was up and about today, lazing around in his pool. The girls thought that taking a nap in his bath was pretty hilarious.

At the end of the day, we zipped through the small animal house to check out the naked mole rats, in honor of one of the girls' favorite books, Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed.

And now it's naptime... :)
