Biology and (Root) Beer

One of the best parts about spending so much time at the beach is the hands-on opportunity to teach the girls about marine biology.  The Sargassum seaweed is a hotbed for tiny crustaceans... little blue crabs and tiny shrimp will shake out of just about every clump.  Izzy and GPa took some time to observe our catch of the day before Izzy took them back out "to be with their moms and dads."

GPa introduced the girls to root beer, and they are BIG fans.  He searched far and wide before coming down this summer to find the perfect little A&W glasses to match his big one.
