Miss Maria has been coming twice a week this summer to teach the girls Spanish. The girls seem to really be enjoying it and are picking up quite a bit of vocabulary (and fixing the terrible accent that their parents imparted when teaching them to count to diez). Today was Miss Maria's son's birthday, so the girls helped him celebrate by singing Feliz Cumpleanos.
The heat wasn't too oppressive this evening, so we spent some time outside. Dan very patiently tried to teach the girls how to hit a softball. Abby enjoyed herself immensely but didn't manage to hit anything. Izzy was altogether disinterested...
