San Jacinto and Strained Peas

Rumor has it that every child in the state of Texas must have a montage of pictures taken in front of the San Jacinto monument, so we're starting the girls early :) For those that don't know, the Battle of San Jacinto was the pivotal battle in turning the tide for the Texas in gaining their independence from Mexico. It was here that the battle cry, "Remember the Alamo!" spurred the Texans on to victory.

The girls were fairly studious on this first trip, but they had a bit of a hunger meltdown as the grown-ups perused the museum memorabilia in the bottom of the monument.

And speaking of hunger, the girls continue to be great eaters. Chickigram and GPa did the honors this evening. The girls still show strong preferences, Abby for rice cereal and Izzy for strained peas. Crazy. Both girls detest their vitamin drops. They both tolerate them when I am sneaky... i.e., once I mixed them into breast milk and once with baby apple juice...but after the first sneak attack, they seem to be on to me, and reject it the next time. Anyone with suggestions, aside from being frustrated with the makers of Poly-vi-sol for making such nasty tasting vitamins, please comment!!!
