This is what went on while I took my shower yesterday....silly girls. Casey said that they did this for pretty much the whole time I was gone.
We had a really fantastic day at the livestock show! They do a GREAT job with the kid-friendly activities... I'm sure this will be an annual event for us! We went up there with Aunt Casey, Sybil, and Nathaniel, and had a wonderful day!
Our first stop was the petting zoo. True to form, Abby jumped right in, and Izzy was a little slow to warm up, but they both had a great time when all was said and done. There were no zebras, but there were some baby kangaroos, which were pretty exciting.
And in contrast to the goats at the zoo, the goats here moved... the little goat kids were actually zipping around and running over the top of the mamma goats, which was pretty cute.
Our next stop was for a pony ride. The girls just made the 1-year cutoff, which was pretty exciting. Again, Izzy was a little nervous at first...
...but she warmed up eventually and even laughed a few times, as long as my hand was always holding her :)
Abby's pony was named Dolly, and Izzy's was Gem.
The girls got to play farmers at the "Fun on the Farm" exhibit, which was very nicely done.
Kids enter the exhibit and perform farm tasks, like feeding the chickens and collecting eggs...
planting seeds and harvesting vegetables...
shearing sheep...
milking a cow...
and watching crops grow...
...and then they take their produce to market and get some "cash" to take to the grocery store. (The girls bought some cereal.) The girls were admittedly a little young, but the exhibit wasn't at all crowded, and they had fun with the activities.
All that farming left the girls pretty tired, so we headed home after a very busy and fun-filled day :)

It looks like both girls have no legs in the video. I know there is a little room for Izzy's in the hippo, but where are Abby's?
Of Course Izzy gets to drive the tractor.
No Zebra:-(
