Dewberry Farm 2010
Chicki and GPa are here! The girls are having a marvelous time wrapping their grandparents even more tightly around their fingers. We made our annual Columbus Day Weekend pumpkin trip to Dewberry Farm (doing something twice makes it official, right?). The weather was much more cooperative this year, and the girls LOVED it!
Before we even left the parking lot, the girls got to pet a horse...
They were big enough this year to play at many more of the activity stations than last year. They climbed around on hay bales..
rolled, rode in, and rode on big pieces of black tubing...
ran, climbed, and slid on the big fort...
and of course, took a turn on the big bouncing pillows.
After all of that activity, we took a little time out for some lemonade
We took a wagon ride out to the pumpkin field, where the girls meticulously examined the available pumpkins, searching for just the right ones.
Abby tried to pick each of them up, declaring, "It's too heavy" about most of them.
Gpa was on hand to lend a few suggestions...
We're not sure what exactly made these pumpkins THE pumpkins, but the girls were unwavering once they made their decisions.
so after a few more "cute shots,"
and a quick game of "back-to-back" (which Izzy insists CAN be played with one participant sitting down),
we were back on the wagon.
Izzy hammed it up on the way back, showing off her newest fine-motor development, signing "I love you."
And then, after three hours in the warm October sun, it was time to head home!
