Happy Halloween!

When the girls were born, our friends (and former coworkers) from the University of Illinois sent a box full of Illini gear. In a stroke of perfect timing, the girls grew into their cheerleading outfits just in time for Halloween this year. They LOVED them, although every time we ask them what the "I" stands for, they tell us, "Izzy!" and then, as if an afterthought, "...and Illinois."

We visited two Fall Festivals this weekend, replete with bounce houses and candy. Abby prefers the former, and it seems that Izzy has inherited her mother's sweet tooth, clamoring for the latter every time she spies a brightly colored wrapper.

This was the first year that we went trick-or-treating, and with perfect weather, it was a really fun experience! After the girls visited the neighbors and a couple of houses on the cul-de-sac, we all sat on lawn chairs in the front yard awaiting the little neighborhood goblins and visited with their parents.
