Are you kidding me?

It's snowing. We're a little bit excited that the girls got to see snow, but seriously? We moved to Texas to get AWAY FROM the snow, the bitter, bitter cold snow...

Anyway, it followed us here, apparently. We had our Life Group here tonight... when everyone arrived at 6:30, it was sleeting a little bit, but mostly just precipitating a cold rain. When we wrapped up around 9, big huge flakes were falling... and sticking, which is apparently an all out miracle! The adults were as giddy as the kids... Dan and I were probably a little too nonchalant, given the rarity of snow in these here parts, but we did try to feign excitement for the girls' first snow experience. Izzy was REALLY excited about it... she giggled and gasped when the snowflakes fell on her. Sadly, their winter coats are in transit... we didn't have any expectation that we'd need them so soon... or at all, to be honest!

Dan just came in from taking a picture of our yard... and the snow is still falling at 10:45 PM. I'm hoping he gets a snow day tomorrow :)

So if you can't get away from the snow there, you might as well move back to Illinois.

Hmmm. Well, currently, it's 50 degrees here, and 31 in Joliet... and we're supposed to get up to 76 on Sunday... WOO HOO! We're staying :)

You guys have more snow than we do up here in Ohio ;-)

I remember Laney's first snow... She did not like it at all. She was crying and just wouldn't want to touch it. We'll see what she thinks about it this year (if we ever get some ;-)).
