InfantSEE

InfantSEE is a public health program through which babies ages 6-12 months can get an eye exam from member providers at no cost. So... we took the girls in to my optometrist this afternoon to make sure that their eyes are developing normally. The girls were a big hit with the staff... Izzy turned on her giggle charm, and Abby was an incredibly good patient, sitting very still and being very attentive to the moving lights.

Obviously, the girls aren't able to read the letter lines, but Dr. N had them follow the light to make sure that they were tracking appropriately, and that both eyes were moving together. She also dilated their eyes so that she could take a look back inside and make sure that everything looked OK. Happily, they are right on track!

The dilating drops will make them a little sensitive to light today, so they gave us some baby sunglasses to wear outside. Abby thought she looked pretty cool, but Izzy wasn't having anything to do with them, thus the squinting :)
