Moody Gardens is probably our favorite "field trip." During the week, it's almost as if we have the place to ourselves most of the time. We got to see the penguins at feeding time today, which was pretty fun.
The girls are usually mesmerized by the reef animals and they're always thrilled by the rays and sharks. They're starting to ask LOTS of questions about everything they see, which is pretty fun. Their memories are amazing... they can name the Moray eel, the nurse shark, the hammerhead shark among others with impressive accuracy.
There is a mini-auditorium-type room at the very end of the Aquarium exhibit that has a "stage" right in front of a big picture-window view of the walk-through aquarium. The Moray eel likes to hang out there, so we had Abby lay down next to him for a modified game of back-to-back. He's pretty big...
