The first thing that our families usually want to do when they visit is head for the beach. Sadly, the forecast for this week was pretty cloudy, dreary, and not terribly warm. Undeterred by the weatherman's predictions, we visited the island and had a great walk on the beach, watching seagulls, collecting rocks and shells, and having a generally wonderful beach day.
