Bouncing Babies

The girls LOVE to dance any time they hear music. As daughters of an actuary, the Fisher Price Counting Song is one of their favorites, of course.

The following video was taken with PT Aunt Casey in mind, so that she could analyze the girls' gaits. Abby takes off whenever there is an open door or gate. She usually comes back on her own, and (for now) always come back when I call, but she does love to wander! Izzy will go, too, but only after her sister, or in search of something specific. She prefers if I'm in sight :)

The girls are learning about sharing, slowly but surely. They still want what they want when they want it, but they're getting better about following directives to "give it to Sister." AND, they now seem to know that Dog is Abby's and Orca is Izzy's. Izzy also seems to believe that the chair on the left is hers, and that everyone should know it...

We think that the girls are teething, but haven't been able to feel anything coming through the gums. They're both drooling like crazy, and Abby's tongue is always out!

We played outside yesterday. It had rained like crazy in the morning, but was more or less dry by the afternoon. The girls were thrilled by the water that had accumulated in their "trunk" and giggled and giggled... until they got crowded in the car and Abby started pushing Izzy out...

Abby is still our little climber. She much prefers the view from above. We're now working on teaching her boundaries and limits, like not STANDING on top of the table. Izzy prefers to have her feet on the ground. It's SO interesting to watch their personalities develop in such profoundly different ways!
