Fruit Dance

We got a new TV for Christmas and have been loving it! The girls don't watch much TV, but there is a clip from a Sesame Street episode called the fruit dance that is a favorite... they seem to love the almost life-sized children on the screen now :) They used to bop their heads when they watched it, but now they are (sometimes) following the directions in the song. Pretty fun.

We had a nice lazy morning yesterday. Dan was reading at the table and suddenly had two cute little munchkins on his lap...

After naptime, we went down to Moody Gardens to hang out with the fish and octopus. On our way, we passed a little bayou with a flock of pelicans and stopped to visit with them. These pictures don't seem to do justice to the hugeness of the white pelicans. The brown ones are here year-round, and they're pretty big birds, but the white ones are migratory, and they are GIANTS! They skedaddled when we came to the bridge, so our pictures are all from a distance, but it was fun to watch them. The girls giggled and narrated the birds' splashing and flying antics.
