Zoo Day

December 28, 2009

The Oberts arrived! Nana came by air on the 26th, and the boys (Papa, Kevin, and Ryan) arrived after an unfortunate blizzard delay in Casper, WY on the first day of their road trip. :( We took both sides of the extended family to the zoo for a fun day of watching the twins and the animals run, screech, and roar.

The girls insisted on being held for much of the trip. In "real" life, I have a policy of NOT carrying them anywhere, because my back is not strong enough to lug them both all of the time... BUT, family rules change things, and the girls wheedle their way into arms fairly quickly, even mine!

Izzy's "compromise" to not being held is to hold two adult hands and lift up her feet. This, too, was indulged :)

Sometimes, the girls will walk and hold hands with each other... this is the kind of behavior that I relish and encourage. They're very sweet with each other.

One of the girls' favorite attractions at the zoo... benches. It is their hearts' desires to climb on every bench in the world. No matter where we are. Silly girls.
