Christmas!

The girls don't really completely understand the process of unwrapping presents, but our sweet Izzy does understand the concept of trash, and was very keen on keeping the floor clear of any and all scraps of wrapping paper...

In the video, they were unwrapping a present from their dad... an electric fish tank...

It was a big hit. :)

Aunt Casey, Medical Professional, got the girls a bodily organs smock; Aunt Casey, Princess-in-Training, got the girls a tutu and wand :)

The girls got both set of grandparents a 2010 Obert Family photobook. It was a lot of fun to put together; the program at seehere.com is EXCELLENT! I also made a personalized alphabet book featuring Abby and Izzy, and they seem to love it!

Izzy and Abby recently learned to bellow like gorillas, which made this gift apropos..

One theme of this Christmas season has been "bouncing." The girls bounce on any and all beds in the house, on the couch, on the floor... any surface will do. This reinforces our plans to go back to the Little Gym. We also plan to replace the Christmas tree with the Jump-o-lene at our earliest convenience :)

The girls are expanding their geography lessons to the map of the world. Right now, they can identify Argentina, South Africa, Australia, and Antarctica... all chosen because they are within their reach from the back of the couch...
