The girls' Great Grandpa John and Great Grandpa gave the girls some Christmas money. We asked them if they wanted to shop for toys, or to do something fun, and they gave us a resounding answer.... SCHLITTERBAHN!!
It was a little chillier today than it was the last time we visited, so we spent more time in the (very warm) kids area, lounging in the shallow water and on the beach chairs.
But we left plenty of time for the lazy, wavy river and the big water slides. Dan delighted the girls by pretending to fall off of his tube and "struggling" to get himself back on. Giggles upon giggles ensued.
The hot pool outside turned out to be our saving grace....once Izzy noticed her own goose bumps, she was ready to go home, but we slipped her into the warm water and she was a rejuvenated little fish. She is incredibly brave in the water, willing to swim quite a distance from the wall to the parent of her choice. Neither of the girls is afraid to go all the way under the water, but Abby is a little more cautious about leaving the security of the wall or the safety of the arms of a grown up. We're all looking forward to swimming lessons starting back up in January.
A huge, huge thank you to the great grandpas! The girls had a fantastic time... and their parents did too! :)
