Another Weekend!

I LOVE all of these holidays... it's so much fun having Daddy at home! On Friday, the girls and I had a fun lunch at Chick-fil-a with one of my friends and her three boys, and then we came home and waited for Daddy to get home, which is always a VERY exciting event. The girls (and I) LOVE their new outfits from the Morrises :) Thank you!!

I got the girls some outfits from an online boutique that was having a major clearance sale... the girls have grown into them now, so we had a fun time with a photo shoot this morning. Izzy, true to form, hated her hat.

Abby rounded it out later in the day by ripping off her socks... they're quite a pair!

We headed up to the Houston Aquarium this afternoon, which was fun. The aquarium itself is pretty nice, and there are several rides and fun attractions to round out the day. As you can see, it is a mini-amusement park quite literally in the middle of Houston. I think that we decided that we prefer the Moody Gardens Aquarium in Galveston a little better, but it was definitely worth the trip to check it out.

The girls love, love, love watching the fish. The aquarium was a little crowded, but we managed to push the stroller up to a few of the big tanks to let the girls get their fill of the fish. The marine biologist in me has to admit to being VERY happy that the girls seem so taken by everything marine :) There was also a tiger exhibit, which was REALLY neat... the tigers were ginormous, and the girls said "cat, cat, cat!" which was cute.

The carousel was a big hit... until it started to go. The pictures and video were taken in the (interminably long) period before the ride started, and the girls (especially Abby) seemed totally on board with the idea of riding the alligator (Izzy) and dolphin (Abby) they had chosen. However, when the ride actually began, Abby lunged at me and complained until the ride stopped. Go figure.
